In the Redesign Belonging (ReBel) project, we are organizing workshops to build a better understanding of the needs and challenges that migrant women are experiencing when immigrating to Finland. We need to hear your voice and share experiences as migrants about the obstacles you have faced, and continue to face, in integrating into the new home society. Join us in an inspirational Design Jam where we discuss issues but also co-create solutions together!
Our ReBel project aims to foster solidarity and promote sense of belonging among migrant women who have been in home countries for more than five years. By involving immigrant women, design enthusiasts and professional designers to work together, the project aims to develop innovative models and solutions for integration, tailored to various contexts within the EU.

If you have an immigrant background or are working with immigrants, we would love to invite you to our upcoming workshops.
Why should I join?
In the workshops we will together identify the real challenges, needs and obstacles that migrant women are facing, and how they affect their sense of belonging and integration in the new host society. Furthermore, we shall dive into designing potential solutions to make a difference.
This event is also a perfect opportunity for building a social and professional network, sharing your valuable experiences, and having your voice heard in policymaking. We want to make a difference – and you are a valuable member in our cause.
You will have the chance to hear about an innovation challenge we will be launching at the end of this year, in which the best solutions and teams get the chance to develop their solutions further!

Tuesday 22.10.2024 at 15.30-17.30 – Laurea Leppävaara Campus, Vanha maantie 9, Espoo
The workshops will last two (2) hours in total. We offer you light snacks and drinks during the event.
