Project Privacy Policy

This privacy policy informs how data is processed within the research, development and innovation project known as “Redesign Belonging” in accordance with GDPR (justification: consent). Redesign Belonging project’s ultimate goals are to improve belonging of migrant women. This is implemented through research and innovation activities in Finland, The Netherlands and Spain.

The data stored is used by the Redesign Belonging project for the implementation of this project. The purpose of the data processing is to provide communication to the interested parties, advertise and market the events the project is organising, and to collect information for research purposes from publicly available sources (population statistics etc.) or at the events organised by the project. All personal information stored for the purpose of participant communication and marketing will be deleted at the latest after the project has ended.

Name, company/organisation (if applicable), e-mail address are processed marketing and communication purposes. These details will not be used for research purposes. Personal information processed during the research activities of the project will be either pseudonomised or anonymised and the research data retained according to Laurea’s data management plan.

Primary sources of information are research data, sign-up forms, communications with Redesign Belonging project and publicly available data sources on the internet.

The registers collected in the project are disclosed within the project team and to third parties only as required for the implementation of the project goals. A third party will only be used to process part of the survey data. The employees of all project partners and third parties process personal data only to implement goals of the Redesign Belonging project.

The data collected as part of this project will not be transferred outside of the EU or the EEA..

Only the Redesign Belonging team involved in the research survey analysis has the right to use the register for research purposes.  Only the Redesign Belonging team has the right to use the register for communications and marketing purposes. The data is stored on a secure network drive.

The registrant has the right to check information concerning themselves. The registrant must be able to prove their identity when requesting this information. If the collection is based on the consent of the registrant, the registrant has the right to request the removal of their data.
